Pixar Place Hotel Celebrates 20th Anniversary of ‘Cars’ with Exhibit

The Pixar Place Hotel has a lot of fun details to be found throughout. While there are some obvious maquettes and other artwork that can be found in the lobby. On the second floor, above the entry to Pixar Place Hotel, there is an exhibit space that highlights different stories from Pixar Animation Studios. Currently, this exhibit focuses on the 20th anniversary of Cars. On June 9, 2006, Cars raced into theaters, and the world of Disney was changed. This led to a franchise with shorts, films, hotels, and even Cars Land at the Disneyland Resort.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by the Pixar Place Hotel this weekend and took an extensive batch of photos to capture this entire exhibit that celebrates the milestone of this beloved franchise. The exhibit shows a wide variety of artwork and maquettes showcasing the development of the film. There are even pictures showing research happening for the film along Route 66. Check out Steven’s photos here:

This exhibit is just the most recent to appear in this gallery at Pixar Place Hotel. These generally aren’t publicized by Disney, but the Daps Magic team stops by periodically to check for updates. It is unknown how long this exhibit will be staying at the hotel.
