A new seating area has opened at the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. This area is found on the lower level of the restaurant, underneath the deck that wraps back around the building. It continues the theme of the Country Bears that is found throughout the restaurant. It also adds some fun Easter Eggs and nods to these musical bears, continuing a story that began with the now-closed Country Bear Jamboree (where The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is found now).
The new area opened on Thursday morning. It adds a nice place to sit along the Rivers of America and enjoy the natural settings while eating the barbecue from the establishment. Friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, stopped by Disneyland and took the following photos of this area. Clocky of Sent From Disneyland stopped by and took the video. Be sure to look at some of these details and see how Walt Disney Imagineers have continued the story of the Country Bears in this area.

This area previously just had some plants and rocks in it. Before the area was reconfigured to accommodate Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there once was a walkway in this area that allowed for some beautiful and quiet views of the Rivers of America and the Mark Twain or Columbia as they sailed by.

The Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree opened at Disneyland in October 2024. It offered the first barbecue menu at Disneyland since the closure of the Big Thunder Barbecue/Celebration Roundup and Barbecue in 2016. Here is the official description for the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree:
The Country Bears Are Back
After touring their stage acts around the greatest music halls in the United States, Henry, Wendell, Big Al and the rest of the Country Bears are showcasing their favourite regional barbecue dishes.
Picnic on a menu of delicious quick-service barbecue fare, tasty refreshments and delicious home-style desserts in the middle of the woods. Cross a wooden bridge and stroll through a pine forest to a rustic retreat, where an eager beaver statue welcomes you and your cubs with an all-important question: “Hungry?” We sure hope so!
Paw through the Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich, Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich or Classic Cheeseburger. The Chicken Tenders and healthy snacks will surely satisfy your little ones.
If you’re truly ravenous, try our Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter featuring a selection of house-smoked meats, served with baked beans, coleslaw, white bread and pickled vegetables for a real humdinger of a meal! Those who prefer a plant-based meal can try the Corn Ribs Plate.
To wash it all down, try a specialty beverage like the Watermelon Lemonade.
Finally, some of the bear-y favourite items are desserts, made the old-fashioned way like the Funnel Cake Fries.
Put Your Day on Paws
Relax by the Rivers of America and take time out to admire the peaceful waterfront view.
Surrounded by lush greenery, wave from the restaurant’s 2-story sprawling terrace as the Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes cruise by. Enjoy views of the Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island—it’s a welcome escape while refuelling for your next big adventure.
Located in the heart of Critter Country, your cubs will love the impromptu wildlife lesson! Look for ducks waddling along the river shore, squirrels scampering about and other adorable woodland creatures!

The Country Bear Jamboree, from which this location takes its inspiration, closed at Disneyland in 2001. A reimagined version of the show can be experienced at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This version of the show has the Country Bears performing Disney songs in a variety of country styles. This show can be seen here:
Tokyo Disneyland also has versions of the show. Here is the Country Bear Theater Vacation Jamboree:
