Ryan Gosling is the new Ghost Rider. The news came from San Diego Comic-Con this weekend during the Marvel Studios panel. During the panel that was hosted by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, it was revealed that work has begun on a new Ghost Rider. After revealing this information, Ryan Gosling (Project Hail Mary, Star Wars: Starfighter) and director Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine, Star Wars: Starfighter) were invited to the stage.












While on stage, Hall H exploded in applause. The duo shared more about the new film, which is set to release in theaters in 2028. Along with Gosling taking on the role of Ghost Rider. While there weren’t a ton of details revealed about the film. The screenwriter was shared. Jonathan Tropper (Star Wars: Starfighter, Your Friends & Neighbor) is writing the script.
While not a ton is known about the next Ghost Rider movie, it does appear that there are quite a few crossovers from Star Wars: Starfighter. This is the next Star Wars film to come to theaters and is set to arrive on May 28, 2027. It will be directed by Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Gosling. The screenplay is written by Jonathan Tropper. This tends to indicate that The Walt Disney Company is optimistic about Star Wars: Starfighter, enough so that they are willing to use the same to make a Marvel film.
