Season 5 of Welcome to Wrexham will arrive on Hulu on May 14th. Ahead of the arrival of the fifth season, it has been announced that three more are on the way! The series follows actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they purchase Wrexham AFC and then attempt to help this struggling team and town succeed. So far, they have been successful in this endeavor.

Through the first five seasons, Wrexham AFC (also known as the Red Dragons) has been promoted multiple times. As the team has improved, the town has also benefited in multiple ways beyond the obvious financial implications. It has seen its spirit grow as well. Welcome to Wrexham doesn’t just share the story of the team, but also those who support the team and live in the community alongside it. This season will follow “Wrexham AFC’s quest for promotion to the Premier League on the heels of three consecutive promotions, a feat that has never been achieved in English Football League history.”
“When we launched ‘Welcome to Wrexham,’ we never imagined the impact it would have on the club and the town while creating one of TV’s most successful and beloved docuseries,” said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment, to Variety. “This three-season renewal is a testament to the vision of Rob and Ryan and the enduring connection they’ve built with fans around the world.”

“A three-season order for a TV series is nearly unheard of and is only possible through the ground-breaking work of our Emmy-winning documentary team and the relentless rise of Wrexham AFC and all those working so hard to make sports history,” Reynolds and McElhenney added.
At this point, a trailer for the fifth season of the docu-series has not been released. It should be coming in the very near future, however, if previous years are an indicator. Welcome to Wrexham is a series that isn’t just for fans of Football (known as soccer in the United States). It is about more than sport. It is a series about people, their dreams and passions, and their successes and failures. While it is centered on a historical Football team in Wales, it really all comes down to people and relationships.
Welcome to Wrexham is executive produced by Mac, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Humphrey Ker, Nicholas Frenkel, George Dewey, and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas. It is produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures.
