‘Wonder Man’ Renewed for Second Season

Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man is coming back for a second season. With the renewal of this show, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley will both be returning as well. They will be reprising their roles as Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery. Series co-creators Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest will both be returning for Season 2.

Andrew Guest will also be returning as the showrunner and executive producer. Destin Daniel Cretton will again be directing and will also be an executive producer. This comes as Cretton is also the director for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is arriving in theaters on July 31, 2026.

The first season of Wonder Man follows an aspiring actor named Simon as he struggles to launch his career in Hollywood. During this, he meets with another actor named Trevor Slattery. This leads to an unlikely friendship. Things get even more interesting when Simon learns that celebrated director Von Kovak (Zlatko Burić) is remaking his favorite childhood Super Hero film, a 1980s cult classic named Wonder Man.

Wonder Man’s first season has been received with critical acclaim after debuting in January. The series earned a 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The first episode can be seen for free on YouTube, and the full season is streaming on Disney+.
