There have been quite a few closures recently in Disney California Adventure. While there really isn’t an off-season at the Disneyland Resort, recent refurbishments suggest it may be an off-season now. Recently, Jumpin’ Jellyfish underwent a brief refurbishment and then reopened the front half of the attraction. The other half still has scrims around it and is being worked on. Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind has also been getting some tender loving care lately as well. It is unknown when it will reopen. The newest addition to the refurbishment list at Disney California Adventure is the Golden Zephyr.
On Monday, walls could be seen around the Golden Zephyr. This is for a brief refurbishment of the attraction, scheduled to conclude sometime next week. Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by the Disneyland Resort on Monday and took the following photos of the Golden Zephyr behind its construction walls:

The refurbishment of attractions is a very intentional process at the Disneyland Resort. Great care is taken to be proactive with refurbishment and set up attractions to be operational as much as possible, and not go down due to any mechanical or operational issues. This leads to more opportunities for guests to enjoy these attractions and ultimately, a happier experience for guests at The Happiest Place on Earth. In the case of the Golden Zephyr, this attraction does sometimes go down due to wind and weather.
