The Garden View Lounge

Disney Gives First Look at The Garden View Lounge Ahead of Its Reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience will be returning at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on March 19, 2026. When it does, guests will get to experience a blend of the elegance of the Victorian era, along with some playful charm that comes from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Alice in Wonderland. This brings the timeless Disney story straight to the heart of the recently refurbished Grand Floridian.

Ahead of its reopening, Disney shared a look at what guests will get to experience when they visit.

The Welcome

When guests enter The Garden View Lounge, they will find themselves walking into a sunlight conservatory. With floor-to-ceiling windows, there will be natural daylight pouring into the room. This will give the space a warm and inviting glow.

The furniture in the space will strike a balance between modern comfort and classic Victorian. This will make the lounge feel fresh while also honoring the beloved Grand Floridian style that guests know and love.

Details

There are plenty of magical details to be found in this venue. There are floral patterns, plush fabrics, and gentle hues of green, blue, and gold to create a serene atmosphere that connects with nature.

There are also organic shapes throughout the room. These shapes depict flowers and leaves, as found in a flourishing garden. This creates a lush escape for people as they enter.

Continuing to look around the room, one will see brass-framed mirrors that resemble flower petals that reflect an outdoor garden. There are also stained-glass windows that feature native Floridian birds that add color, character, and warmth.

The carpet is gorgeous and was inspired by winding garden vines. There are also some hidden details integrated into its design.

Afternoon Tea

The return of The Garden View Lounge also means the return of the popular Afternoon Tea Service. It includes a menu that is inspired by the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. This will be served with a unique presentation of loose-leaf teas from Twining. For adults, there is the choice between a traditional tea service or a plant-based option. Younger guests can enjoy a special children’s tea offering. This is an approach to this experience to make it welcoming for families, couples, or even solo tea lovers.
