Check Out the New Rooms and Lobby at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney has been hard at work updating Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The updates to the lobby, Petals Pool Bar, and refreshed rooms make the resort “Pop” like never before! Disney has shared a look at the updates. Take a look at them below!

Updated Celebrates Decades

The lobby is now brighter and more energetic than ever before. There is plenty of space to pause, enjoy taking everything in, and even snap a photo before heading out for a Disney day.

Looking around the lobby, guests will see new touches that include a vibrant floor-to-ceiling artwork that is inspired by pop culture from the 1950s-1990s and larger-than-life illustrations of Disney’s Fab Five. The decades come alive through bold patterns and graphics like the TV wall. There is also a collection of vintage-style television frames that help create a delightful retro backdrop.

This updated space is also meant to make things easier for the guests who visit. There is more space to relax while waiting to check in or head out. Part of the lobby was reconfigured to add more seating. This includes communal tables to give guests more space to sit, recharge, or even get some work done.

“One of our biggest goals was making the lobby feel brighter, more vibrant and more functional for Guests,” said Luis Sanchez, project manager on the Facility Asset Management team. “We looked at everything from the lighting to the seating layout so the space feels more open and comfortable — and supports the look and feel Disney Imagineers envisioned.”

The design is beautiful, but it’s the Disney difference that makes it magical. Cast members are on hand to help make this trip magical, whether if it is with helping guests settle in, answering a question, or making the arrival as effortless as possible.

Petals Pool Bar

The Petals Pool Bar is a bright spot at the Hippy Dippy Pool. Now newly refreshed, it makes for a great spot to stop for a mid-day break between splashes. There are tile details that add texture and color behind the bar. There are also clear digital menu boards now that make ordering simpler than ever!

The bar has also received other refreshed finishes and updates to make ordering easier and make the overall experience more comfortable for both guests and cast members.

Add the amazing Disney cast members to this fantastic pool bar, and this makes for a magical experience. The cast members can offer quick recommendations and helpful answers to help guests stay in vacation mode when they visit Petals Pool Bar.

Refreshed Room

The rooms of Disney’s Pop Century Resort have also been updated. They offer a bright and comfy space to relax between visits to the parks.

Walt Disney Imagineers also brought Pop Century’s playful, decade-inspired style into these refreshed rooms. They now have a brighter palette and layered textures that include warm, wood-toned flooring, a geometric area rug with pops of blue, gray, green, and orange, and soft sky-blue accents near the bed wall and bathroom.

There are also new curtains and patterned upholstery to add extra personality. There are also subtle touches, including Hidden Mickeys in the chair fabric, to make sure the space is unmistakably Disney, which is also clean, comfortable, and functional.

These new updates to the lobby, Petals Pool Bar, and the rooms continue the progress of Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This comes after earlier updates at Everything POP Shopping & Dining, including refreshed dining and shopping spaces and a new coffee shop.

More Benefits

There are other benefits to staying at a Disney hotel when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. For Disney’s Pop Century Resort, this includes being just steps away from the Disney Skyliner, making for easy travel to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Along with easy access to the parks, there are cast members on hand to help offer advice, figure out transportation, pick dining options, or help make a trip go smoothly.

On top of all of this, Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney pilot program lets eligible guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels transfer luggage to and from Orlando International Airport when flying with participating airlines.
