The Muppet Show is back. Fans new and old can watch The Muppet Show special on Disney+ as it is now streaming (read Daps Magic’s review here). Along with the new show streaming on Disney+, the theme to the show has been re-recorded and released on major music streaming services. This includes Apple Music and Spotify. Below is the new recording of The Muppet Show Theme that has been released by The Muppets.

The Muppet Show Theme
The Muppet Show originally began airing in 1976. Now 50 years later, this new special is part of this milestone celebration. It is being viewed as a backdoor pilot. This episode features Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest with Seth Rogan also making an appearance. He is also the executive producer. Maya Rudolph also appears in the special. If this special does well, there could be more episodes on the horizon.

It’s “The Muppet Show”! Kermit, Miss Piggy and the beloved Muppets ensemble are back with a brand-new special event. Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with their very special guest, Sabrina Carpenter!
From 20th Television, Disney Branded Television, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures, the special event is directed by Alex Timbers, who also serves as executive producer. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee are executive producers for Point Grey Pictures; David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter and Michael Steinbach are executive producers for The Muppets Studio; Sabrina Carpenter, Albertina Rizzo, Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobson are executive producers.
“The Muppet Show Theme (2026)” single will be available Feb. 4 and is performed by The Muppets and produced by GRAMMY® and Emmy® Award-winner Bill Sherman.
