On Friday, the Disneyland Resort kicked off its 25th anniversary celebration of Disney California Adventure and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This saw limited time offerings like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in new Disney California Adventure-inspired outfits on Buena Vista Street, the return of Soarin’ Over California for a limited time, the opening of Napa Rose, and a whole lot more (see below). It also saw the debut of Humphrey the Bear at Storytellers Cafe.

The arrival of Humphrey the Bear is the first time that this lovable character has appeared in the Disney Parks. Prior to this, he has been a fan favorite found in several shorts through the years. Things never seem to go right for him on the screen so his arrival at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa was a happy one as things did seem to go right on his first night! He made new friends with guests who were dining there, danced around the restaurant, and even apparently befriended Donald Duck!

If you’d like the chance to eat at Storytellers Cafe and meet Humphrey the Bear, it is a good idea to get a reservation. This can be done on the Disneyland website or through the Disneyland app.
