Knott's Boysenberry Festival

Geek Eats: Three Things You Won’t Want to Miss at the 2026 Knott’s Boysenberry Festival

The 2026 Knott’s Boysenberry Festival begins on March 13th and continues daily through April 12th. This celebration of this marvelous berry, known as the Boysenberry, will include entertainment, merchandise, experiences, and, of course, food! The food during the Boysenberry Festival utilizes the Boysenberry. Each year, the culinary team at Knott’s Berry Farm works to create new offerings for this festival. On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Daps Magic team was invited to a preview media event at Knott’s to check out some of the offerings that guests will get to enjoy this year. In short, this is going to be a very delicious year!

There were many different bites and sips that were tasted throughout the evening at Knott’s. First off, everything was really good! I, personally, would have had no problem going back for seconds on any bite I tasted throughout the night. Unfortunately, after trying everything that was offered… I was simply too full. With this variety of offerings that are being offered, there were three things that I’m still thinking about today! These are three offerings you won’t want to miss when you visit Knott’s for this year’s Boysenberry Festival!

Boysenberry Beef Brisket Over Mac and Cheese

This was the surprise favorite of the night. The mac and cheese at Knott’s is always good. However, add a tender brisket that was drenched in a Boysenberry sauce, and it creates a delicious dining experience. The flavors all complemented each other, and after my first bite, I was hooked. The beef was also tender enough that I was able to easily eat it with a spoon! This is a dish that will have broad appeal. It has a comforting feel when eating it and really captures the love and family feel that can be found at Knott’s Berry Farm.

  • Gold Mine Trail Booth
  • Calico Railroad Bar

Spicy Boysenberry Bulgogi over Steamed Rice with Green Onions

The Spicy Boysenberry Bulgogi over Steamed Rice with Green Onions was a pleasant change. It actually was spicy. The rice was well-cooked. The green onions on top added some freshness and vibrancy. The use of Boysenberry was not overpowering and balanced. This was enjoyable to eat and a nice change from the traditional down at the farm fair. I would easily eat a whole bowl of this, and not just a tasting size!

  • Wilderness Dance Hall Patio

Boysenberry Shortcake Sushi Roll

Generally, a dessert would not make any top three list that I make when tasting foods, as I’m not a huge sweets guy. However, the Boysenberry Shortcake Sushi Roll is the exception. This was a really fun dessert to eat (yes, with chopsticks). It does look kind of like sushi. Thankfully, it isn’t too sweet and isn’t heavy. It is just a few bites of deliciousness! I can’t wait to have it again.

Several other offerings could easily have made it on this list. Leading up to this year’s Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, Daps Magic will share the food guide to help you prepare for all of the good eating that can be enjoyed at Knott’s during this special time of year! As I’m writing this, there are several things popping into my mind that I’d love to try again. We will see what is on top of the list once this year’s Boysenberry Festival begins!
