On this day in 1956, the ‘Disneyland’ anthology series aired “A Day in the Life of Donald Duck.” The episode blended animation and live action to show Donald blundering through a typical day at the Disney Studios. Donald interacts with artist Roy Williams, some of the Mouseketeers, and their host, Jimmie Dodd. He has a comedic dispute over fan mail with his own voice actor, Clarence Nash. Cartoon shorts and a song about Donald round out the “quacktastic” episode. [70 years ago in 2026]
