On February 9, 2026, the Disneyland Resort will be celebrating the Super Bowl LX Champion. The announcement was made by the Disney Parks on social media ahead of the big game. The following was posted on social media by Disney Parks:
Come on down the day after Super Bowl to celebrate with this year’s champion!
This continues a tradition of Super Bowl champions going to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World after the big game. This year’s game sees the New England Patriots facing off against the Seattle Seahawks. The game will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. At the end of the game, the MVP will get to say, “I’m going to Disneyland!” On February 9th, this is exactly what will happen.
While the specific time for the celebration at Disneyland hasn’t been revealed yet, generally, these details will be shared on social media on the day of the festivities. This often includes a cavalcade of some sort with plenty of confetti when it reaches Main Street, USA. Here is a look at a previous Super Bowl cavalcade from 2024:
Along with this celebration, ESPN will be gearing up to carry the 2027 Super Bowl with a special 24-hour The Handoff event. This will include part of the broadcast coming from the Disneyland Resort. ESPN revealed the following details about the February 9th broadcast:
Disneyland Park & Southern California — Monday, Feb. 9 “The Handoff” continues Monday, Feb. 9, with ESPN studio shows broadcasting from Disneyland Park and additional programming originating from locations across Southern California:
Live From Disneyland Park With a set in Town Square at the foot of Main Street, U.S.A., within Disneyland Park, First Take with Stephen A. Smith, multiple editions of SportsCenter, NFL Live and a second episode of Super Bowl Live will originate from within the park. ESPN will also welcome and honor a player from the Super Bowl LX championship team.
ABC News and Disney Integration ABC News’ Good Morning America will originate in part from Levi’s Stadium for its Monday show and Tuesday will air an interview with a player from the Super Bowl LX championship team. World News Tonight with David Muir will also feature content in its Monday broadcast as part of the daylong cross-platform moment.
Full West Coast Lineup The day begins with Get Up from ESPN’s Los Angeles studios and concludes with Jimmy Kimmel Live! from Hollywood.
The Handoff will begin broadcasting from SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, the site of Super Bowl LXI, on ESPN and ABC, on February 8th. This is being billed as a special one-time, 24-hour, multi-platform initiative. It will transition ESPN’s coverage from Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, Calif., and begin the road to Super Bowl LXI. This will be ESPN’s first time covering the Super Bowl. It will be played on February 14, 2027.
What does all of this mean for guests visiting the Disneyland Resort on February 9, 2026? It means that Disneyland, in particular, will be very busy in the morning and during the celebration. Expect plenty of fans to make the trek to the park to celebrate whatever team wins. Generally, people begin lining up on Main Street, USA, fairly early ahead of the cavalcade. There is also often an outflow of guests once the celebration concludes. This can mean that while the park is very busy, there might be lines that aren’t as long as one would normally expect.
This Super Bowl celebration comes as the Disneyland Resort continues to celebrate its 70th anniversary. This celebration includes a special cavalcade, the return of the Paint the Night parade, and Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland. At Disney California Adventure, World of Color Happiness is being presented as part of the celebration. The Lunar New Year celebration is also being celebrated currently at the Disneyland Resort, with most of the celebration happening at Disney California Adventure.
