As I think about the many different things I was able to experience, I find myself drawn to a particular attraction at Tokyo DisneySea. Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage is that attraction. It follows Sindbad the sailor and his loyal tiger cub, Chandu, on his adventures at sea. This is accompanied by the song Compass of Your Heart by Disney Legend Alan Menken.

I will admit, the first time I went on this attraction, I had no clue what I was experiencing. I walked off and found myself completely confused but also completely enamoured. I absolutely loved the song. I loved the characters. What exactly was happening with all of them, I hadn’t a clue. At one point, there is a big monster for some reason, and at another, there is a troop of monkeys with bananas. All of this was very confusing (and still is to some extent), but also very intriguing. Since that first time that I went on it, it has become a favorite of mine. Below is a video I took from my first trip to Tokyo DisneySea in 2023.

I absolutely love this attraction. It is a one-of-a-kind musical adventure that isn’t found anywhere else. It also has a fantastic theme song. I’m so very thankful that someone thought to create this and then update the attraction to its current form. I hope it continues for a very long time. It really does make you happy as you experience it. I also love that this is an attraction that the entire family can experience together. It is one of the many things that make Tokyo DisneySea such a magical place.
