On this day in 1995, the first-ever Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was held in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. That year was a pilot with a single after-hours event on Halloween night. A ticket only cost $16.95! Not-So-Scary was developed as a family-friendly alternative to the frightening events at other Orlando theme parks. By 1997, multiple nights were added to the party due to popular demand. Special fireworks, parades, and entertainment came soon after! [30 years ago in 2025]
