Dino-Bite Snacks

Changes Coming to Dining Offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

As work continues on the transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. into Tropical Americas, different attractions, stores, and restaurants are being closed and changed as part of the changes. These closures are leading to some other changes throughout the park, as some offerings (like burgers) wouldn’t be available. Ahead of the final closure of the remnants of DinoLand U.S.A. (Restaurantasurus and DINOSAUR close on February 2, 2026, the final day is February 1st), more closure dates have been revealed. With them, some changes in offerings are coming to other dining destinations throughout the park.

Closures

First off, Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks will be closing permanently on October 19, 2025. Trilo-Bites is known for its Buffalo Chicken Chips and DOLE Whip floats. Dino-Bite Snacks serves hand-scooped ice cream. With these closures come some changes in the menu at other locations in the park so that their popular menu items don’t go extinct with these locations.

The Buffalo Chicken Chips will be moving to Eight Spoon Café on Discovery Island. The DOLE Whip floats will be offered at Warung Outpost in Asia. Hand-scooped ice cream will be taking a break and returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in February 2026 at a location that is yet to be announced.

The closure of these dining locations and attractions for the transformation to the Tropical Americas will eventually lead to new attractions based on Encanto and Indiana Jones in the area. These aren’t the only changes that are coming to the dining landscape at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, however.

Harambe Market - Disney's Animal Kingdom

Harambe Market

Harambe Market is seeing its menu change. This will lead to a temporary closure of the location starting on October 20, 2025. It will reopen in early 2026. When it does, it will have a new menu that offers American favorites like burgers and chicken strips. This will fill the void left by the closure of Restaurantosaurus. The timeline should also mean that guests visiting the park will not have to go without burgers or chicken strips.

While Harambe Market is closed, Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery will be serving lunch and will offer some of Harambe Market’s more popular dishes. This includes the rice bowls and wraps.

More Changes Coming?

The changes are all a part of the game of musical chairs for dining locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as it brings the stories of Encanto and Indiana Jones to the park. While not announced yet, it is quite possible that there will be more culinary moves that happen when the new land opens. When it does, it will undoubtedly have food offerings that complement the stories that are being told in the surrounding area.
