Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is always a magical season to visit. Things got extra magical for 40 Make-A-Wish kids who were hosted at The Happiest Place on Earth by Disney, Mr. Beast, YouTube, and other top creators. This was a first with all of these wishes being granted with all of these collaborators. Disney shared about this special day on the Disney Parks Blog, including some absolutely magical moments that were captured on camera. Take a look below about this day that undoubtedly meant the world to these kids and their families!
Creator Encounters
From the moment the Make-A-Wish families arrived at the Disneyland Hotel, you could feel the excitement in the air. Each child was about to experience a one-of-a-kind adventure tailored to the creator they wished to meet.
For the 16 kids who wished to meet MrBeast, the wish kicked off with an epic scavenger hunt through the park. Clues (and MrBeast’s crew) led them from one stop to another until they finally reached Sleeping Beauty Castle, where MrBeast was waiting to greet them.
Meanwhile, wish kid Makayla spent the afternoon living out her dream playdate with A for Adley, filled with crafts, Disney dolls, and a few rounds of Adley’s game, Rainbow Ghost Rescue.
Over at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mark Rober was busy dropping eggs off the Millennium Falcon! Rober helped families craft their very own contraptions for the eggs to withstand the huge drop, and soon after, Science Bob stood at the top of the iconic spaceship to test them out.
All around the resort, even more creators brought their own kind of magic to life for the 40 wish kids. Chef Amaury Guichon hosted a live chocolate-making demonstration, Doctor Mike built a lightsaber with wish kid Om, two wish kids rode Haunted Mansion Holiday alongside Sam & Colby, and so much more.
A Frightfully Fun Finale
After the kids got to meet their favorite creators, we gathered at Hollywood Backlot in Disney California Adventure park for the grand finale: A Frightfully Fun Wish party, where Disney Experiences Chairman, Josh D’Amaro and President of Disneyland Resort, Thomas Mazloum welcomed the families. Transformed into a Halloween wonderland and complete with a Feastables claw machine, games, and dance floor, it was a spooktacular time for all.
Seeing wish kids dancing the night away and watching creators meet with families reminded me of the heart behind this event. Through these moments with wish kids and their families, I saw smiles among smiles from the brave kids and their families who’ve been through so much.
To every wish family: Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey.
To every creator: Thank you for showing up to give these kids the greatest experience.
And to my fellow cast members: Thank you for making the magic for these wish kids!
Wish experiences like these are part of Disney’s commitment to delivering moments of happiness and joy to kids who need it most. Disney is proud to be the world’s largest wish granter for Make-A-Wish, granting a wish every hour of every day.
