On Thursday, September 25, Hong Kong Disneyland will reopen after the passing of Typhoon Ragasa. When the storm reached landfall about 145 miles from Hong Kong, it was the equivalent of a Category 3 hurricane. At its peak, the storm had sustained winds of 165 miles per hour. This made it the most powerful storm in the world to date in 2025. Hong Kong Disneyland announced its reopening with the following post on its website:
Hong Kong Disneyland Park will reopen on September 25 (Thursday). Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre will remain closed until further notice.

Typhoon Ragasa brought heavy rain and wind to Hong Kong. These toppled hundreds of trees and flooded coastal areas. According to Hong Kong officials, 90 people were also injured as of Wednesday evening.
For those who had Hong Kong Disneyland tickets that were impacted by the typhoon, unused tickets may visit the park on another day within the tickets’ original validity period. For those with unused Disney Premier Access purchased through the Hong Kong Disneyland official website or official mobile application, an email will be sent that may be shown within six months to redeem the benefits. If the Disney Premier Access was purchased at a physical location, the original pass may be used within six months.
