Disney and Pixar’s newest film Elio arrived in theaters earlier this summer. Currently, it is available for purchase to watch at home (review here). Its next destination will be Disney+. The film will be arriving on Disney’s streaming service on September 17, 2025.
In Elio, viewers go on a trip to the stars when Elio Solis looks for belonging. When the alien-obsessed Elio makes first contact with extraterrestrials, they believe he is Earth’s leader, and he soon finds himself thinking his dreams are coming true. However, things aren’t quite that simple. Soon, he finds himself facing a galactic war monger, potential destruction of his home planet, and more complications. All of this forces him to dig deep and learn more about himself, and also what family means.
