Maleficent has made her terrifyingly beautiful return to the Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. The mistress of evil seemingly floated into her new location along the Grizzly Peak Trail on the opening night of this Halloween party at the Disneyland Resort. This was a new location for Maleficent and made for a welcome return to Oogie Boogie Bash. Maleficent had previously appeared at the party before disappearing as other new Disney villains materialized at the Disney California Adventure after-hours event.
The Daps Magic team attended the opening night of Oogie Boogie Bash and took the following photos and video of Maleficent making her grand entrance to the party. Take a look at the photos and video below!
First appearing in 1959, Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent has become a favorite Disney villain for fans. She takes offense at not being invited to the christening of King Stefan’s daughter, Aurora. Because of this, she casts a curse on the young princess that will have her die by pricking her finger on a spindle before sunset on her 16th birthday. Her character is based on the wicked fairy in La Belle au Bois Dormant by Charles Perrault.
Maleficent is one of many Disney villains that can be found at this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash. There are still tickets for a couple of Thursdays in August for this Halloween party available. The party includes Treat Trails with Disney villains (and plenty of treats), food, merchandise, the Frightfully Fun Parade, and more. It is offered on select nights throughout the Halloween season at the Disneyland Resort.
