On Thursday, August 7, 2025, the Avengers Campus expansion began to go vertical. As fans have watched walls go up and other walls removed in Avengers Campus, the big question has been when things would start gaining attitude. This question was answered on Thursday when fans noticed vertical beams, and Walt Disney Imagineering announced that things had begun to go vertical earlier that day. This was done with the following post:

Equipping more guests to become Super Heroes requires equipment! The expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park went vertical this morning with the first steel column lifted into place. New, thrilling attractions will join the campus, doubling its size in the future.

The expansion of Avengers Campus will lead to the addition of two new attractions, Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Both of these attractions were announced at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Here is a look at the two new attractions:
Avengers Infinity Defense
In Avengers Infinity Defense, guests will join the Avengers to help defeat King Thanos who has stolen important technology to jump between worlds. Guests will travel to multiple iconic places from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to help save the galaxy. This could include Wakanda or Asgard.
Stark Flight Lab
Stark Flight Lab is an experience where guests get recruited by Tony Stark for a mission to test new Avengers technology. A robot arm will move ride vehicles through a simulated test flight. During the experience, voices of favorite Avengers will be heard. Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to reprise his role as Tony Stark. Other recognizable voices were teased during the Experiences panel at D23 as well.
