The fourth season of Ted Lasso has begun production. Head of Apple, Tim Cook, shared the news with a post on X (formerly Twitter) saying:

Along with the announcement that filming has begun for Ted Lasso season 4, some casting was confirmed as well. Previously, it was known that Jason Sudeikis would be returning in the title role. Today, it was also revealed that Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift are all returning as well.
New cast members have also been revealed. They include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. While most of the character details about these new cast members are being kept under wraps, it is known that Grant Feely will be taking over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted Lasso’s son.

Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
Sudeikis will not just be starring in the new season of this series; he will also executive produce. Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel also executive produce. Brett Goldstein will be writing and executive producing, along with Leanne Bowen. Jack Burditt has joined the fourth season as an executive producer, as part of an overall deal with Apple TV+.
Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh will serve as writers and producers for season four, and Sasha Garron co-produces. Julia Lindon will write for season four, and Dylan Marron will serve as story editor. Bill Lawrence executive produces via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also serve as executive producers. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly and Hunt, and is based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports.
Ted Lasso first debuted on Apple TV+ in 2020. It broke records and earned praise and acclaim very quickly. The first season became the most Emmy-nominated comedy series in its first season. It also landed rare back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys for its first two seasons on air. Throughout its three seasons on the air, it earned 61 Emmy Award nominations, winning 13.
