Disneyland Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Walt and Lillian Disney with Display in Golden Horseshoe

On July 13, 1925, Walt and Lillian Disney were married in Idaho at Lillian’s brother’s house. They were married by the Lewiston’s Episcopal Church of the Nativity rector. Fast forward to 1955, and the happy couple celebrated their 30th anniversary at Disneyland, just days before it opened. Fast forward to 2025, the 100th anniversary of this couple was celebrated with Lillian being honored with a window on Main Street, U.S.A., and also a display for the happy couple in the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland.

The display included a replica of the cake that two celebrated with in 1955 at almost the exact location. There were also two photos on display. One was from the 30th anniversary of Walt and Lillian. The other showed the Disney’s at Disneyland together. Below is a look at the display that could be found in the Golden Horseshoe on the 100th anniversary of Walt and Lillian Disney.

The 30th anniversary celebration of the Disney’s also included a voyage aboard the Mark Twain. Here is a look at this riverboat on the 100th anniversary.
