In 2024, Fantasy Springs opened at Tokyo DisneySea. This is the eighth port at Tokyo DisneySea and brings the stories of Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled into the park. It immediately became a fan favorite. It has some beautiful new attractions that fans are also loving. One of these is Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. This is a slow boat ride through the story of Rapunzel. This includes the beautiful moment in Tangled when Rapunzel and Flynn Rider ride in a boat surrounded by lanterns during I See the Light.
Recently, a friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, visited Tokyo Disney Resort. While there, he filmed the following video of Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. Check out this beautiful dark ride and enjoy this musical voyage through Rapunzel’s story here:
Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival Official Description
This attraction takes guests on a romantic boat ride that leads to the annual Lantern Festival, where they experience Rapunzel’s “best day ever” as she falls in love with Flynn Rider and visits various locations featured in the film.
When Fantasy Springs opened, guests initially had to utilize either a Standby Pass or purchase Disney Premiere Pass to experience the attractions. The Standby Pass is available free of charge and allows guests to line up at an eligible attraction at a specified time. This is basically like a virtual queue at the Disney Parks in the United States. The Disney Premiere Pass is available for a fee and allows guests to select a designated time to experience eligible attractions with a reduced wait time.
As of this spring, attractions could be accessed via a standby queue instead of the Standby Pass. This means that guests can now choose to wait in line for attractions or purchase a Disney Premiere Pass if available.
There are other videos from Spencer’s trip to Tokyo Disney Resort. Soon, there will be videos from Daps Magic’s upcoming trip to Tokyo Disney Resort as well. They can all be seen in the following playlist:
