Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite has returned to the Disneyland Resort. This event that celebrates all that is Star Wars includes entertainment, character meet and greets, merchandise, food, photo ops, and more. One of the offerings is the Lightsaber Instructional. This gives guests at Star Wars Nite the chance to learn how to wield their lightsaber in combat.
In previous years, this offering was presented along the it’s a small world mall. The trainers would stand on a small stage on the upper level with guests waving their lightsabers in the street in front of them. This year, the Lightsaber Instructional received a fairly significant upgrade by getting moved to the Fantasyland Theatre.
The move to the theater not only provided more space to learn how to battle with a lightsaber, but also a much more immersive experience. On the stage, video walls create a dynamic background that upped the production value of this experience. The video walls also brought focus to what was happening and made the environment feel more immersive. It also made it feel more theatrical as well. The opening and closing of this show also felt much more thrilling with the full power of the Force in the Fantasyland Theatre.
