Recently, Walt Disney World Resort gave a look behind the curtain of its central shops. Disneyland Paris also did something similar this last week. It invited cast members to come and discover the technical, artistic, and maintenance jobs that are integral to the magic of Disneyland Paris.
To make this behind-the-scenes magic happen for cast members, twenty workshops came together to share their unique talents. A variety of disciplines make this happen, from decorator-scenographers and mechanics to upholsterers, letter painters, and quality controllers. There was a lively gathering of gathering of artisans, artists, and technicians who usually work behind the scenes to bring the magic of Disney to life for guests.
During the day, cast members shared their work, tools, stories, and passion for their jobs and for making magic in each of their own ways.

Disneyland Paris shared some facts about this experience:
- 20 workshops exceptionally opened their doors to other Cast Members on this particular occasion
- 10+ artistic trades represented, including letter painters, decorators, screen printers, upholsterers, carpenters, glassmakers, dressmakers, props decorators and graphic designers
- Nearly 300 Cast Members work at Central Shops
