A new Star Wars series is being worked on by Carlton Cuse and his son Nick Cuse. The Lost showrunner and his son are in early development on the new series, The Hollywood Reporter has shared. Carlton Cuse has an impressive resume of credits that include Bates Motel, The Strain, Jack Ryan, and Netflix’s medical drama Pulse. Nick Cuse worked on Watchmen, The Leftovers, Station Eleven, and Masters of the Air.

Beyond the news that Carlton Cuse and Nick Cuse are working on this new Star Wars series, nothing is known about it. It was not announced this last weekend at Star Wars Celebration Japan. This is unsurprising if it is indeed early in production. It may or may not end up being made. However, this duo working on a series is definitely exciting!
The news about the potential new series comes as Andor season two arrives on Disney+ to rave reviews. Both critics and fans are saying that this season is some of the best Star Wars ever. Each week, three episodes are being released and focus on one of the years leading up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Along with the arrival of Andor on Disney+, the second season of Ahsoka has begun filming ahead of its arrival in 2026. This fall, Star Wars: Starfighter will begin filming. This new Star Wars film stars Ryan Gosling and is being directed by Shawn Levy. On top of all of that, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be arriving in theaters in 2026 as well!
