This year marks the 30th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort’s Blizzard Beach water park. In April, this milestone year will be celebrated at this popular water park. This limited-time celebration will include entertainment and other guest experiences.
The actually 30th anniversary is on April 1st. For the special day, there will be a live DJ spinning tunes, multiple meet & greet opportunities with Disney characters who are dressed in winter attire, and also special digital frozen-photo frames to highlight the special memories of the day. Throughout the rest of the Blizzard Beach season (the rest of the month), there will also be anniversary-themed dance parties, games, and temporary 30th-anniversary tattoos. On top of that, there will be merchandise, food, beverages, and much more!
Following the celebration, Typhoon Lagoon will open on May 1st. Blizzard Beach will close for a period of rest and relaxation (and refurbishment). Typhoon Lagoon features tropical-themed experiences that were created by a legendary typhoon that once struck the island. What was left behind was a quirky collection of wrecked boats, a stranded fishing pier, and a unique blend of fun and adventure.
Along with all the fun coming with the 30th-anniversary celebration of Blizzard Beach, Walt Disney World Resort is also offering a special perk for guests at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Throughout 2025, they can enjoy water park admission to a water park on the day they check in to their Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
