The Avengers Assemble! stunt show in Avengers Campus is ending its run at Disney California Adventure. The show opened in the new land when it opened in 2021. It sees Black Widow face off against Taskmaster, with a little help from another Avenger! It will have its last performance on April 5, 2025, officials from the Disneyland Resort confirmed.
The closure of Avenbers Assemble! comes as Avengers Campus is undergoing a period of expansion. The size of the land will double when this expansion is completed. It will also see the addition of two attractions in the land, Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. These were announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last year during Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase. Already, the Red Car Trolley has been closed to make way for the expansion of this land.
Avengers Assemble! has seen some variations with characters and seasons through the years. This has included Captain America helping Black Widow instead of Black Panther, a Christmas version that has Hawkeye and Kate Bishop, and a special ending with Deadpool and Wolverine last year.
The closure of this show marks a step forward in the expansion of Avengers Campus. It also comes after the recent closure of Disney Jr. Dance Party!. Last year, Doctor Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts also closed at Avengers Campus. It is very possible that once the expansion of Avengers Campus is complete, new entertainment offerings will be announced. Only time will tell.
