On this day in 1990, the “Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary Celebration” special aired on TV. Tony Danza hosted the spectacular. Special celebrity guests included the cast of ‘Cheers’ remembering The Haunted Mansion, former president Ronald Reagan rededicating the park, Miss Piggy attempting to replace Cinderella with help from Gonzo as the “fairy god-thing,” as well as Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff performing “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” [35 years ago in 2025]
