DinoLand U.S.A

VIDEO: Walking Tour of DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

On January 13, 2025, the Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama area of DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom permanently closed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is a step toward the transformation of this area of the park that will see it become themed to the Tropical Americas. When it is completed, this will include two signature attractions, a carousel, and many other experiences that will immerse guests in this 11-acre area.

The new Tropical Americas land will have two primary stories that come to life in it. One will be that of Encanto and the other will be Indiana Jones. The new carousel and one of the signature attractions will be themed to the story of Mirabel and take guests into Casita. There, Antonio has just received his special gift — the ability to communicate with animals — and his room has transformed into a rainforest. Guests will go exploring with him and along the way, meet up with other members of the family.

The second signature attraction will see DINOSAUR become a new Indiana Jones adventure. Indy will have discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple and will obviously need to explore it. There have been rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple that must be investigated when guests go on this attraction with this original storyline.

Ahead of the area’s closure and transformation, the Daps Magic team stopped by to take a walking tour of DinoLand U.S.A. This included walking through the Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama area first and then over toward DINOSAUR, with some stops along the way. Check out this video that takes a look at this moment in time from the fall of 2024 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
