Disneyland Railroad Reopening in March

The Disneyland Railroad currently is closed for refurbishment. The train closed after the holidays and work has been underway behind walls. Until today, it wasn’t known when the Disneyland Railroad would be reopening. However, the Disneyland website now has the Disneyland Railroad reopening on March 7, 2025.

The train closed on January 13th for the newest round of refurbishments. Last year, the railroad was closed for multiple months while work was done on the attraction. The Daps Magic team filmed the attraction before it closed at the end of the day on January 12, 2025.

Find a Station

The Disneyland Railroad is a handy way to get around the park. Trains are scheduled to arrive every 5 to 10 minutes at most times throughout the day and travel clockwise around the park.

Hop on or off at one of 4 convenient stations:

  • Main Street, U.S.A.
  • New Orleans Square
  • Mickey’s Toontown
  • Tomorrowland

Name That Train

The 5 meticulously restored, working narrow-gauge engines were named after American locomotive legends. The lone exception is the Ward Kimball, named after the Disney Animator who originally inspired Walt Disney’s passion for the railway.

The engines are:

  • C.K. Holliday
  • E.P. Ripley
  • Ernest Marsh
  • Fred Gurley
  • Ward Kimball
