On this day in 1937, Disney held a test screening of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California. Moviegoers were the first to see a rough cut of ‘Snow White,’ which was only finished five days before. The theater was packed and the audience was enthusiastic, but then a third of the crowd left partway through the movie. The filmmakers were concerned, but later found out they were college students meeting a 10:00 p.m. curfew!
