Earlier this year, the Disneyland Railroad underwent a multi-month refurbishment. While it was down, the track was replaced and new bedding was installed on the northeast end of the park. It reopened at the end of October. Now, the train is scheduled to be closed again for another refurbishment.
The Disneyland Railroad will be closed starting on January 13, 2025. This temporary closure will be completed before the kickoff of the Disneyland 70th Celebration on May 16, 2025. An exact reopening date for the railroad isn’t known at this time.
The Daps Magic team went for a full circle ride on the reopening day of the Disneyland Railroad in October. Check out the video of this experience here:
If some markings alongside the train track at Disneyland are any indicator, this refurbishment will see work happening from the Main Street area to about the Rivers of America. This has not been confirmed by Disneyland Resort, however.
Daps Magic will continue to watch the progress being made on the Disneyland Railroad and provide updates as they become available. What do you think of the next refurbishment of this attraction?
