Walt Disney World continues to monitor and adjust its operations as it assesses the potential impact of Hurricane Helene. The storm is expected to arrive on September 26, 2024. Ahead of its arrival, Walt Disney World has already closed its mini golf courses and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. It also has cut outdoor tours for while the storm will be impacting the area. The newest adjustment is the cancellation of Thursday night’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
At this point, only Thursday night’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is cancelled. Guests who had tickets for the event will be refunded Disney says. The following update was shared on Walt Disney World’s website:
Due to forecasted weather and the impact to our outdoor entertainment offerings, we are cancelling Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Thursday, September 26. Guest tickets will be refunded.
At this point, the parks are continuing to remain open and operating as normal. Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools are also still open. Disney Springs hasn’t seen any changes at this point either.
Daps Magic will continue to follow the impact of Hurricane Helene on Walt Disney World Resort. If you are planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the next couple of days when the storm is expected to impact the region, please follow Disney cast member instructions and take safety precautions as instructed.
