The Muppets Take Manhattan is now available to watch with ads for those who want to watch this Muppet film. The 1984 film that was directed by Frank Oz can be seen on YouTube currently. It tells the story of how Kermit and the rest of the Muppets bring their musical to Broadway. Of course, things are never quite as easy as they should be and that leads to some funny and poignant moments along the way as the Muppets continue to chase their dreams.

The Muppets Take Manhattan was originally made on an $8 million budget. It was considered a box office success when it brought in $25.5 million. It also was the first film that Frank Oz directed by himself. He previously co-directed The Dark Crystal with Jim Henson. The film stars Muppet performers Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Kathryn Mull, Karen Prell, Brian Muehl, and Bruce Edward Hall. They are joined by human stars Louis Zorich, Juliana Donald, Lonny Price, Gates McFadden, and Graham Brown. There is also a wide range of cameos included in the film as well. This includes:

The music for The Muppets Take Manhattan was written by Jeff Ross. The score was written by Ralph Burns. A variation of the song Together Again from this film came back and was used for Muppets Most Wanted.
The Muppets Take Manhattan was the third Muppets movie, following The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper. It would be followed by The Muppet Christmas Carol 8 years later. It was the last Muppets movie to feature Jim Henson as the Muppet performer for Kermit the Frog and several other characters. His son, Brian, would end up directing the next Muppet movie after his death.
This is a wonderful film with some incredible songs and great moments. While it is not on Disney+, it is great that at least it can be watched on YouTube now! Don’t you agree? It is unknown how long this film will continue to be available on YouTube.
