Knott’s Soak City Waterpark Kicks Off Summer Season

Summer has begun for Knott’s Soak City Waterpark. The waterpark in Buena Park, California, opened today for its summer run. It will be open from May 18 through September 8, 2024 on select days.

For those that want to spend some wet fun in the sun at Knott’s, there are several different ticket options. This includes:

About Knott’s Soak City Waterpark

Knott’s Soak City Waterpark is a separately gated 15-acre water adventure park immediately adjacent to Knott’s Berry Farm. Soak City boasts 23 speed, tube and body slides including Shore Break featuring 6 different waterslide experiences and a thrilling family raft ride, The Wedge; the 750,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wavepool; a one‑third‑mile Sunset River; and the three‑story Beach House, featuring 200 water guns, nozzles, sprayers and other interactive surprises. Appropriate Attire for Knott’s Soak City Waterpark

To participate in waterpark attractions, appropriate swimwear is required. Here are some recommendations to help you plan your visit:

  • Proper swimwear is required. Swimwear is defined as a one- or two-piece swimsuit. Pants, denim, thongs, or transparent clothing are not permitted. No metal ornamentation on clothing. We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of swimwear.
  • Guests wearing bathing attire with metal buttons, rivets, zippers, or snaps will not be permitted to ride Old Man Falls, Laguna Stormwatch Tower, Malibu Run, Shore Break Tower, The Wedge, Banzai Falls, Beach House Slides, or Gremmie Lagoon Slides.
  • Footwear is not permitted on Soak City attractions. Aqua socks and aquatic style footwear are permitted on Banzai Falls and the Wedge.  
  • Guests requiring special accommodations should speak to a member of the Aquatics management team. Specifically designed attire made from lycra or nylon type materials will be considered. Due to attraction manufacturer requirements, some riding restrictions may apply.

Soak City Rules

To ensure the safest experience for all guests during their visit, the following rules are in effect. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

  • Each bather shall take a shower using warm water and soap and thoroughly rinse off all soap before entering or re-entering attractions.
  • Use of water attractions, including water features, if ill with a contagious disease or condition is prohibited.
  • Persons having currently active diarrhea or who have had active diarrhea within the past 14 days shall not be allowed to enter the water.
  • Do not intentionally swallow or put water from attractions and pools in your mouth.
  • Appropriate swimwear is required.  Thongs and transparent clothing are not permitted.  We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of swimwear.
  • Swimwear with metal buttons, rivets, zippers, or snaps is not permitted at some water attractions.
  • Guests who require diapers are required to wear swim diapers or a diaper specifically designed for aquatic use. Please change diapers in the bathroom, not pool side. 
  • Participants with a history of seizures–or heart or other serious medical conditions–should be supervised by someone who knows how to swim and how to provide emergency assistance.
  • Life jackets are required for individuals under 52″ at certain attractions.  Life jackets are required for individuals under 48″ at some attractions.  Only (appropriate Coast Guard) approved life jackets are permitted.
  • Supervise children at all times.  Guests under 42″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion at specific attractions.    Refer to the Safety Guide sign posted at each attraction.
  • Attractions may have specific height, weight, and safety requirements.  Refer to the Safety Guide sign posted at each attraction to make an informed decision as to whether the attraction is right for you. 
  • Masks, snorkels, water toys, whistles, and inflatable assists are not permitted. 
  • Glassware and similar material with a tendency to shatter on impact are not permitted.
  • No running, diving, extended breath holding, boisterous or rough play during participation.
  • Cameras, cell phones, and video recording devices may not be used on any slide, attraction or in any changing area or restroom.
  • Knott’s Soak City is subject to close due to inclement weather such as lightning, heavy rain, and winds.
  • Service animals are permitted into the waterpark but are not permitted in water attractions.
  • To provide a safe and enjoyable waterpark experience for our guests, Knott’s Soak City utilizes training exercises to improve our lifeguards’ skills and vigilance.  These exercises will occur during normal operating hours and may consist of the following:   submersible water manikins, the use of video surveillance equipment, internal and external audits, active/inactive water rescues and/or first aid scenarios.
  • Our lifeguards are highly trained and qualified.  Follow their instructions at all times.
  • Unless otherwise authorized by law, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person’s control, convey or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance onto these premises.
  • Soak City is a smoke free environment. Smoking is permitted outside of the Water Park and in the designated location just outside the Main Gate.
  • The following items are not permitted inside the park: large coolers, food, beverages, glass, pop-up shade structures, playpens, or tents.
  • Small handheld coolers not exceeding 12”x18” in size will be allowed that contain water and sports drinks only
  • Lounge chairs are available on a first come first served basis. Lounge chairs must remain in designated areas and not on the grass.
  • Hearing devices or any other electronic health related devices may be damaged by water. Please take the necessary steps to protect such items.
