Since its first season, Only Murders in the Building has had some pretty incredible guest stars. Previous seasons have seen incredible acting talent from stars like Nathan Lane, Meryl Streep, Matthew Broderick, and Paul Rudd to name a few. While season 4 of Only Murders in the Building is still quite a ways off, some details are beginning to trickle out about the season. Already it has been reported that the season will be taking the trio of podcasting sleuths to Los Angeles as part of the story that will undoubtably bring them back to the Arconia to discover who killed Saz (Jane Lynch).
Deadline is now reporting that Molly Shannon will be joining the cast for season four of the season. It is reported that she will be playing a high-powered LA business woman who is drawn into the world of investigation that Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) have in New York City.
Shannon has a long history of comedy, including six seasons of Saturday Night Live. She earned three Emmy nominations and also won the 2017 Best Supporting Actress Indie Spirit Award for her performance in Other People. She recently starred in Zach Braff’s A Good Person.
Only Murders in the Building was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. They co-executive produce the series with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. A timeline for when season four of the series will go into production or be released on Hulu has not been shared at this time.
