Work continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Disneyland Resort (and also at Walt Disney World Resort). The attraction continues its transformation from Splash Mountain to this new story following Princess Tiana and friends before opening later this year.
On Sunday, January 7, 2024, Daps Magic team member Angela stopped by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland to see the progress that is being made on this attraction. She took both video and photos of where it is at this point in time. Since Sunday, there are already more updates (that will be up on Daps Magic very soon). Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open at Disneyland (and also Magic Kingdom) in 2024. The attraction will be based around a story where Princess Tiana expands following the success of Tiana’s Palace with Tiana’s Foods, an employee-owned cooperative. With this business she has transformed an old salt mind into a new thriving brand. When guests enter the attraction it will be ahead of a celebration that is being hosted by Tiana. However, some ingredients for the celebration were forgotten. This sets everyone off on a quest to find the missing ingredients… and also see the transformed salt mine and surrounding areas along the way. There will of course be some magical moments and music to be enjoyed during this adventure through the bayou.
At the 2022 D23 Expo, a model of the exterior of the attraction was shown. It was on display at the Wonderful World of Dreams Pavilion during the expo. It gives a general look at what Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will look like when it opens later this year. Check it out here:
