On this day in 2011, the Disney Dream, the third ship to join the Disney Cruise Line, was christened and set sail on her maiden voyage to the Bahamas. Jennifer Hudson, a former entertainer on sister ship the Disney Wonder, christened the Disney Dream and is known as the Godmother of the ship. The Disney Dream sails 3-, 4-, and 5-day itineraries to the Bahamas, including stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
