Disneyland’s 2023 Candlelight Processional Narrator Revealed

The narrator for the 2023 Candlelight Processional has been revealed. As is the case every year, there was much speculation about who would end up taking the podium and telling the story of Christmas (with the help of a mass choir, orchestra, handbells, and other musicians). Late in the afternoon, a soundcheck revealed that the narrator was Brie Larson.

Brie Larson is currently starring as Carol Danvers in The Marvels. She has also starred in the role in other movies within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain Marvel. During the soundcheck, she was clearly excited to be there and pulled out her cell phone to capture the moment. Shortly after she did a quick reading of the Christmas story to confirm her sound levels. After which, she made her way backstage once again.

The Candlelight Processional is an annual tradition that is beloved by fans and can trace its origins lots back to the era of Walt Disney in the 50s. The full history can be found here. Every year on the first weekend of December on Saturday night and Sunday night it is presented twice each evening. For many years Daps Magic has filmed this beautiful presentation. Different videos through the years can be seen below.
