The Disney Treasure, the next ship that is set to join the Disney Cruise Line Fleet next year, has reached an important milestone. This week the Disney Cruise Line announced the completion of its last block. This is important as cruise ships are built in blocks that are then assembled together to create a ship. With the final block in place, the ship is now structurally complete. Work can now proceed on outfitting the rest of the ship.
This last black for the Disney Treasure is a fun one as it will house areas like the adults-only Quiet Cover area. This includes the Cove Café. The Hero Zone will also be found in this block. This is a futuristic sports arena where physical activity blends with imagination, offering free-play sports and incredibly produced showed experiences.
The crew building the Disney Treasure will now focus on the interior of the ship. This will include some magical areas that guests will be able to experience when the ship goes on its first voyage in December of 2024. When complete, 4,000 guests will get to experience so many adventurous stories when they go on magical adventures aboard this ship. All guests will get to experience the Aladdin-themed atrium, the Aquamouse on the top deck, and younger guests will get to experience the popular Oceaneer’s Club. There will be some incredibly themed bars inspired by Disney theme park attractions like the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
“The Disney Treasure will bring brand-new stories to life, blending one-of-a-kind experiences with the extraordinary entertainment, world-class dining and unparalleled hospitality that make every sailing so memorable,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line. “As we chart a course for adventure, we’re so excited for families to discover the excitement and exploration that awaits onboard the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.”
There will also be some incredibly magical dining opportunities as well. This includes the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, 1923, the Beauty and the Beast-themed Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallemen, and cocktail lounge The Rose. There will also be a new theatrical dinner experience based on Disney and Pixar’s Coco. If that isn’t enough, a new dessert venue will be themed to Zootopia and coffee locations including the Heihei Café (named after the rooster from Moana) and the Jade Cricket Café (named after the cricket from Moana) will provide coffee, drinks, and snacks.
The central hub aboard the Disney Treasure will be themed to The Lion King and called Sarabi. It will be the place to go for a plethora of daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The main stage aboard the Disney Treasure will also bring to life several Disney stories in broadway-style musicals. This includes Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Day, which debuted on the Disney Wish. A third show will also debut on the Disney Treasure based on Moana.
Disney Treasure’s first cruise will be on December 21, 2024. There will be a third Wish-class ship that will join the Disney Cruise Line fleet in 2025. A name or theme for this ship has not been revealed yet. Cruises aboard the Disney Treasure are already available to be booked. They can be booked through Daps Magic’s travel partner Mouseways Travel. What do you think about this milestone for the Disney Treasure? What do you think about this new ship?
