Since it opened in 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been a favorite destination of mine. With the addition of new characters in the last couple of years, it has only gotten better. This year, in particular, has been very fun to visit Batuu with the addition of more characters from a galaxy far, far away. Along with the attractions, dining establishments, and shops, I am very thankful for everything Star Wars that can be found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
As I think about why I’m so thankful for it, I will admit that it really all comes down to the people and characters that make this land come to life. There are some amazing cast members in the land that make the attractions some of the best Disney has every created. This continues on into the shops and dining locations as well. While I do enjoy the bartenders at Oga’s, there are other cast members throughout the land that are equally amazing. Oh, did I mention Disney PhotoPass Photographers? I am thankful for them too!
I am also thankful that we live in a world where on any given day I can walk through Black Spire Outpost and perhaps encounter Rey, Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, Kylo Ren, a First Order officer, R2-D2, Fennec Shand, Boba Fett, Djin Djarin (Mando), Grogu (Baby Yoda), Vi Moradi, Ahsoka Tano, General Hera Syndulla, and Chopper walking around! Then inside the attractions we can bump into even more! It really is an incredible thing to experience and I’m quite thankful for how this land has grown and developed through the years!
