The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew over Walt Disney World Resort today to mark the the arrival of National Veterans and Military Families Month in November. The Thunderbirds were hosted by Walt Disney World Resort and added extra magic as guests looked up and saw these magnificent planes fly over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT in tight formation.
The first time they flew over Walt Disney World the Thunderbirds showcased their capabilities as they maneuvered in unison past the park’s icons. The second pass over the Magic Kingdom saw the Thunderbirds showing off their famous delta maneuver. In this, the jets accelerated rapidly over Cinderella Castle and then pulled out into different directions which gave the appearance of a fireworks display. Disney shared video of these flyovers with Daps Magic that can be seen below.
This year is a special year for both Disney and the Thunderbirds. The Walt Disney Company is celebrating 100 years since it was founded. The Thunderbirds are celebrating 70 years of inspiring the next generation of patriotism. This flyover is just a continued testament to the long tradition that Walt Disney World has continued of celebrating members of the United States military.
