It’s almost Halloween! With that in mind, it seems only appropriate to take a look at some of the Halloween offerings that can be found on Disney+. Today, let’s take a look specifically at all of the Haunted Mansion offerings that have materialized on Disney’s streaming service. It is more than perhaps one would expect. Below are all of the titles that bring the Haunted Mansion from the parks and into homes, courtesy of Disney+.
Muppets Haunted Mansion
Easily the best program that is based on the Haunted Mansion, Muppets Haunted Mansion has the Great Gonzo trying to go on a new daredevil adventure. This time, he is spending the night in the Haunted Mansion…. with Pepe the Prawn. This is a program that has some really catchy music, fantastic references to the attraction, and all in all is just a lot of fun! This is a must watch program during the Halloween season.
Haunted Mansion 2023
In Haunted Mansion, a mother and her son discover that their new residence is haunted. So Gabbie (Rosario Dawson) hires a priest (Owen Wilson), a tour guide (LaKeith Stanfield), a psychic (Tiffany Haddish), and a historian (Danny DeVito) to try and rid her new home of the supernatural pests. The Haunted Mansion also has some familiar haunts including Madame Leota (Jaimie Lee Curtis) and the Hat Box Ghost (Jared Leto). Haunted Mansion is inspired by the classic Disney attraction of the same name. This is a fun movie that is worthy of the name. Definitely worth watching during the Halloween season.
Haunted Mansion 2003
The first Haunted Mansion film, workaholic real estate agent Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) is accused by his wife, Sara (Marsha Thomason), of neglecting his son (Marc John Jefferies) and daughter (Aree Davis). To make up for it, he takes them on a family vacation. Along the way, they stop at a mansion which Jim has been asked to sell. Once there, they discover that it is haunted by Master Gracey (Nathaniel Parker), his butler, Ramsley (Terence Stamp), and two other servants who all need help to break a curse. This is a fun movie but not a great one. There are some fun moments in this one and most people will walk away with it with an opinion one way or another.
Haunted Mansion Swinging Wake
Are you prepared for a swinging wake? You will get two hours of one when watching this title. This includes the iconic organ music, thunder, lightning, and other effects. It is a great video to turn on and let run while doing something else or just to relax in a haunted way. It also would be good for Halloween parties!
Haunted Mansion Enter If You Dare
This is two hours of ambiance showing the outside of the Haunted Mansion as seen in the 2023 movie. Along with some spooky noises and sound effects, there are is also some Haunted Mansion music included as well. This is a great selection to put on and just let go.
Haunted Mansion – Behind the Attraction
This episode of Behind the Attraction focuses on the Haunted Mansion. This program takes a look at the Haunted Mansion’s origins, it’s creation, and then how its influence expanded through the coming years with different iterations of the attraction popping up around the globe. This program also talks about the return of the Hatbox Ghost to the Haunted Mansion. This is a very fun program that should be watched by any fan of this iconic attraction.
October is perhaps the best month to experience anything related to the Haunted Mansion. Whether its movies, specials, ambiance videos, or visiting the Disney parks and experiencing the Haunted Mansion itself, every iteration has its own spooky magic that is timeless and iconic.
