A trailer has been released for a short that was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. Once Upon a Studio is about 9 minutes long and includes 543 Disney characters from more than 85 feature-length or short films. This short includes heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers. The whole thing utilizes all-new hand-drawn and CG animation to celebrate 10 decades of storytelling, artistry and technological achievements. Once Upon a Studio is directed by directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy and produced by Yvett Merino and Bradford Simonsen. It was recently shown at the Destination D23 event where it received a 5-minute standing ovation at its conclusion.
Once Upon a Studio will premiere on ABC during The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration! on October 15 at 8:00 PM ET/PT and 7:00 PM CT. It will premiere after an episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos and before the network premiere of Disney’s Encanto. The official trailer can be seen below.
