Emilie (assistant project leader) and Michel (from the concierge desk of the Disney Newport Bay Club) have been awarded the title of Disney VoluntEARS of the year 2022! This recognition celebrates the outstanding commitment and dedication that these Cast Members demonstrate in making a positive impact on children and families who need it the most.
Emilie and Michel have shown their exceptional commitment by taking part in various charitable actions conducted throughout 2022. Their commitment and selfless contributions have brought joy, comfort and hope to many children and their families. Emilie and Michel notably contribute to creating magical moments for many underprivileged or sick children during their visits to the Parks. Their creativity, enthusiasm and genuine care for others have left a lasting impact on children and adults alike. Their various actions have also inspired other Disney VoluntEARS.
“We are incredibly proud to be awarding the title of Disney VoluntEARS of the year 2022 to Emilie and Michel,” said Eric Pires Augère, coordinator of the Disney VoluntEARS program at Disneyland Paris. “Their commitment to making a difference in other people’s lives is truly inspiring. They embody the volunteering spirit that we value so deeply at Disneyland Paris, and we are grateful for their outstanding contributions to our community.”
Emilie said she joined the Disney VoluntEARS program “to participate in moments of sharing and meet new people. The most rewarding part is seeing the smiles on children’s faces and the wonder in their sparkling eyes. This is such an unforgettable experience.”
“Being awarded the title of Disney VoluntEAR of the year is a great honor and an amazing recognition for our contributions to the various Disney VoluntEARS events. I was very surprised to receive this recognition for the year 2022 with Emilie. However, we must not forget all of the other Disney VoluntEARS who donate their free time in their own way to participate in events. After all, we all are a part of the big Disney VoluntEARS family!” said Michel.
Since 1991, more than 10,000 Disney VoluntEARS – Cast Members who voluntarily take part in philanthropic actions conducted within our Parks and hospitals, and in events organized in collaboration with partner organizations – have brought happiness and inspiration to children who need it the most. More than 1,000 Cast Members participated in the program in 2022, with an average of 8,000 hours of volunteer service completed each year.
