Chewy is Searching for Yoda Pet Look-Alike

Chewy has quit the Star Wars collection for every pet & pet parent looking to celebrate Star Wars Day (and month). Chewy is also looking for Yoda pet look-alikes. Starting on May the 4th, Chewy will start a casting call on social media for pets that look like Yoda that could end up starring in an “out-of-this-galaxy campaign.” This casting call will be open from May 4 through May 31, 2023.

Chewy shared that the winner of this look-alike casting call “will embark on an epic mission and receive a custom professional photoshoot, spotlight on Chewy’s website and social media, along with fun items from The Star Wars Collection at Chewy and Chewy’s Personalized Shop.”

How to Enter the Chewy Casting Call:  

  1. Share a photo of your Yoda lookalike pet on social media  
  2. Tag @Chewy  
  3. Use the hashtags: #ChewyCastingCall and #Maythe4thBeWithYou

The casting call comes as Star Wars Month kicks off. Chewy has plenty of different Star Wars related items that include toys (including Yoda, Grogu, Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, R2-D2 , C-3PO, the Millennium Falcon and Death Star and more), bandanas, apparel, collars, leashes, beds, bowls and treat jars included in its Star Wars Collection.

Star Wars is more popular than ever and Chewy shared that over 20,000 Chewy customers have named their pet after a Star Wars character. It turns out that Yoda is the fifth most popular Star Wars name. There are several different pets that are known for their pointy ears that look like Yoda. This includes Sphynx cats, Frenchies, Corgis, Pugs, Terriers, Basengis, Bulldogs, Chihuahuas, Portuguese Podengos and many more.
