Disney California Adventure was the place to be if you were an Anaheim Ducks fan today. January 12, 2023, is this year’s Anaheim Ducks Day at the Disneyland Resort. Throughout the day there were different ways to celebrate a love of the Anaheim Ducks, the local National Hockey League team.
One of the highlights of the day for fans was the Anaheim Ducks Cavalcade. This took place a little after 1:30 PM and included members of the team, cheerleaders, Disney characters, and some skaters dressed as players and refs moving up and down through the cavalcade. Fans lined the parade route and cheered on their favorite players as they made their way from Paradise Pier to Hollywood Land.
Over at Hollywood Land, there were plenty of other activities to be had. This included photo opportunities, games to play, a photo op with Wild Wing, photos with the players, merchandise, and more!
There were also special pucks that were available in limited supply for Magic Key holders. These disappeared fairly quickly.
For people wanting Anaheim Ducks-themed foods, there were some options here as well. There were hockey puck-themed brownies at Studio Catering Co. and Schmoozies; an orange crème puck at Trolley Treats and Marceline’s Confectionery, and the Hollywood Land outdoor vending cart had orange-flavored cotton candy.
There was also a merchandise location with several options themed to the day. There were several different things on sale there that seemed to be disappearing at a fairly consistent but not overly crowded pace. There were spirit jerseys, tee shirts, baseball caps, beanies, a commemorative puck, a limited-edition pin, and more.
Throughout the area, fans could be excitedly taking pictures of the various Anaheim Ducks players and all that there was to see and experience in the area. Cheers could be heard throughout the afternoon when players would show up. Overall it was a very happy place to be, especially for an Anaheim Ducks fan!
