Walt Disney Studios Cast Choir MeloD23 Brings Magic of Christmas to Light Up the Season

On December 11, 2022, D23 hosted Light Up the Season and guests descended on the Walt Disney Studios for this fantastic holiday party. There was plenty of food, merchandise, magical moments, and entertainment to enjoy at this holiday party. However, one of the things that really stood out to me was the Walt Disney Studios Cast Choir called MeloD23. This ensemble of 12 people sang throughout the night at different times and locations around the studio lot for guests of the party.

MeloD23 sang throughout the night during Light Up the Season, and also played handbells at least once as guests entered the party. When the Daps Magic team caught up with them, they were performing near the entrance of the Frank G. Wells building. This was a quieter area of the studio lot and had some decent lighting for the choir as well. Their performance lasted about 20 minutes. Every minute of the performance was charming and magical. MeloD23 brought the magic of classic Christmas carolers to the party throughout their performance.

Throughout the course of the set that we experienced, the Walt Disney Studios Cast Choir MeloD23 sang the following songs:

  • WassailwassailAll Over the Town
  • Oh What a Merry Christmas Day
  • Carol of the Bells
  • Jingle Bells
  • Deck the Halls
  • White Christmas
  • O Come All Ye Faithful
  • Caroling, Caroling
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Silent Night
  • We Wish You A Merry Christmas

If you ever get the chance to watch the Walt Disney Studios Cast Choir called MeloD23 during the holidays, take the time to do so. You won’t regret it. This is a magical group of singers that perform some incredibly classic Christmas and holiday carols. They were definitely one of the best experiences to be had at D23’s Light Up the Season at the Walt Disney Studios Lot. They are a very merry chorale that truly bring to life the spirit of the season!
